IMMIGRATION EVALUATIONS:
Alona Wellness Center offers comprehensive immigrant evaluations, including asylum cases, petitions for extreme hardship waivers, domestic violence (VAWA), and U Visa cases.
We have providers with extensive clinical experience in both the acute care/hospital setting as well as in out-patient clinic settings. Immigration advocacy is one of our passions.
Our team has extensive experience providing biopsychosocial evaluations, diagnostics, and care planning. We also have a proven expertise providing behavioral health services.
Our providers include a certified trauma therapist and providers who utilize EMDR with a focus on trauma/intergenerational trauma. We also utilizing trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, and psychoeducation, among many therapeutic modalities.
We have two providers who offer clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians, bringing Practicum Instructor experience for grad students.

*Asylum Cases
– Explaining psychological reasons as to why a client may have missed the one-year filing deadline
- Detailing how PTSD/trauma symptoms provide evidence of the persecution an individual has suffered
- Demonstrating a well-founded fear of persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a specific social group
*Extreme Hardship Cases
– Identifying unique factors contributing to a client’s psychological distress such as: illness, disability, professional, financial, or academic hardship, or adverse country of origin conditions that would negatively affect the petitioner and their family member(s) if forced to separate or relocate
*VAWA Cases
– Detailing the client’s psychological symptoms which are common for victims of domestic violence
- Explaining less common phenomena such as ways in which men are abused by female partners.
